
PALS Instructor Course

Course Overview
- Course Fee: $600
(Payment must be received at least 24 hours in advance.) - Schedule: Offered 7 days a week at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
- Location: Available at our training centers in Marietta, Doraville, and additional select locations
- Course Length: Approximately 7 hours
- Format: Blended Learning (Online + In-Person)

Course Delivery
This course follows a blended learning model:
- Step 1: Complete the AHA PALS Instructor Essentials Online course
- Covers instructor responsibilities, testing protocols, remediation, and course management
- Approx. 1 hour to complete
- Step 2: Attend the In-Person Instructor Training Session
- Focuses on teaching techniques, hands-on skills evaluation, and facilitation strategies
Prerequisites
To enroll in the PALS Instructor Course, candidates must:
- Hold a current AHA PALS Provider card
- Demonstrate proficiency in all PALS skills
- Be accepted by an AHA Training Center and have a completed Instructor Candidate Application on file
- Complete the Instructor Essentials Online Course and bring a printed certificate
- Successfully complete an instructor monitoring session within 6 months of the course
Certification & Monitoring
After completing the course, instructor candidates must be monitored teaching a live PALS course to finalize certification. Additional monitoring may be required at the discretion of the Training Center Coordinator.
