Pediatric Advanced Life Support-BL

Empowering Healthcare Providers with Advanced Life Support Skills

Pediatric Advanced Life Support-BL

Attentive Safety offers the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Blended Learning (PALS-BL) Course, designed for healthcare professionals responsible for caring for critically ill infants and children.

This adaptive blended learning format combines a self-paced online learning component with an in-person, instructor-led hands-on skills session to prepare participants to manage pediatric emergencies involving respiratory failure, shock, and cardiac arrest.

Pediatric emergencies are time-sensitive and require rapid, coordinated intervention. National pediatric emergency data consistently shows that respiratory compromise and shock are the most common precursors to pediatric cardiac arrest.

Once cardiac arrest occurs, survival decreases significantly with each minute that effective CPR and advanced life support are delayed. Early recognition, prompt treatment, and effective team response are key factors shown to improve pediatric outcomes, making advanced pediatric life support training essential for healthcare professionals who care for children.

The PALS-BL Course is ideal for nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, paramedics, EMTs, and other healthcare providers who deliver care to pediatric patients in emergency, critical care, transport, and acute care settings.

This course provides a comprehensive foundation in pediatric life support and emphasizes high-quality care through advanced clinical skills such as pediatric rhythm recognition, airway and ventilation management, vascular access, and medication administration.

Participants also strengthen clinical decision-making, leadership, and communication skills required during pediatric resuscitation events.

The blended learning format allows participants to complete the online portion at their own pace using adaptive technology that adjusts to individual knowledge levels.
