The First Aid CPR AED Instructor Course offered by Attentive Safety trains aspiring instructors on how to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED courses.
To be eligible to participate in the course a First Aid/CPR AED instructor candidate must:
Be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course.
Possess a current basic-level First Aid/CPR/AED certification or equivalent or higher.
The First Aid/CPR/AED instructor course is a blended learning offering with the following:
Online Introduction to the First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course that includes additional instructor candidate resources, along with how to conduct skill and assessment sessions and critical eye videos.
Shortened Class time (5 hours and 30 minutes). The classroom session begins with a Practice and polish skill session followed by sessions in which instructor candidates will have 2 practice teaching assignments.
Individuals that do not complete the online Introduction to the First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course, or do not possess a current American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification or equivalent or higher, are not eligible to participate in the First Aid/CPR/AED instructor course.
